Aeri Yum

EXPERIENCE

Aeri Yum joined the corporate department of the firm as an associate in May 2011.  She was awarded the 2010 Cynthia Northrop New Advocate Award from The American Association of Nurse Attorneys Foundation for her paper “Mandated Health Insurance: Childhood Obesity Intervention Begins with Early Diagnosis and Treatment”.

RECOGNITIONS/DISTINCTIONS

While attending the William S. Richardson School of Law, Ms. Yum received the 2009 CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Law, Aging and Medicine and tied for first place for the Best Second Year Seminar Paper in 2010.  She is also a recipient of the Advocates for Public Interest Summer grant and 2009 Law School Alumni Association Scholarship.  Ms. Yum also served as an extern for the Honorable Simeon R. Acoba, Jr., Hawai`i Supreme Court and as a research assistant for Professors Ronald C. Brown and Hazel Glenn Beh.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Ms. Yum is a licensed registered nurse in the State of Hawai`i.  Her range of experience ranges from intermediate critical care/telemetry to public health.
