Employment Litigation
Our labor and employment attorneys have extensive experience representing employers in adversarial proceedings. We represent employers in state and federal courts, defending a wide range of lawsuits brought by or on behalf of employees alleging claims for discrimination, failure to accommodate, defamation, violation of Hawaii’s Whistleblower’s Protection Act. We also litigate non-compete agreements and assert affirmative claims for breach of the duty of loyalty on behalf of employers. We have a long track record of obtaining favorable outcomes on behalf of our clients both through motions for summary judgment and favorable jury verdicts.
We also represent employers in unemployment insurance hearings and appeals, department labor and industrial relations work injury hearings, and administrative proceedings before the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission.
