Speakers Newton J. Chu and Jennifer L. Gitter will be leading a seminar discussing immigration and its evolving relationship with employment. The first 100 days of the Trump administration have been led by a philosophy of "America First", a way of thinking that poses new challenges for the employers of aliens. The seminar will be exploring what the aggressive enforcement of immigration policies, federal audits, and promised executive orders means for HR Managers and employers. A main point of the seminar will be to review the new 2017 I-9 form to ensure that you are filling it out correctly.
Having been praised as a "first rate lawyer" and frequent speaker on behalf of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Newton J. Chu is a Director at Torkildson, Katz, Hetherington, Harris & Knorek, Attorneys at Law. His practice includes employment law, administrative licensing, and immigration law.
