Rachel K. Hoke Miyashiro is a Director at Torkildson Katz and a vital member of the Employment Law Department. With a broad expertise in employment law and litigation, she provides strategic counsel to employers on a variety of labor-related issues. Prior to entering law, Ms. Miyashiro gained valuable experience as a teacher with the State of Hawai’i and as a paralegal with the Legal Aid Society of Hawai’i. During law school, she refined her legal skills as a law clerk for both a Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Hearings Officer and the Social Security Administration.

Ms. Miyashiro’s diverse background, encompassing labor and employment law, advocacy, and education, uniquely positions her to offer comprehensive solutions to her clients. In her role as Director at Torkildson Katz, she represents employers in matters ranging from complex litigation to day-to-day compliance. Her prior experience as an educator, advocate, and law clerk enriches her practice and allows her to provide insightful and effective legal counsel.
